Lauren and Doug were both so relaxed and fun to be around, and so visibly in love it made them easy to photograph. I got misty eyed at their ceremony when I saw their Mom’s crying and the way Lauren and Doug were looking at each other. Their intimate wedding went off without a hitch. Even the predicted rain that threatened all day never came. Though it was not quite spring up on the mountains, we were able to find some nice patches of green for their photos and who could complain about the backdrop of snowy peaks that Vail’s recent winter had left us?
Alex came with me to Vail and assisted rolling film. Everyone loved him (of course) and he did an excellent job. I keep trying to convince him that we should be a husband and wife photography team, but he doesn’t think it would be very fun to get bossed around by his wife all day every day. (I can’t think why???) We had a great time exploring Colorado before and after the wedding, and even got to see some dear friends of ours that live in Denver. It was such a fun weekend- I could get used to this destination wedding thing!
