Suanne and Perry’s Village Engagement Shoot | NYC Engagement Photographer

Much like Alex and I,  Suanne and Perry are a classic example of opposites attract.  Suanne (like Alex)  funny,  friendly, a contagious bundle of laughs and definitely a mushy cheesball:  “I can’t help it, cheesy is who I am”  she said during our engagement session when she couldn’t stop laughing.   Hrmmm…sounds like someone else I know (*cough* Alex *cough*).   But please, I’m not going to complain about all those adorable natural laughs for photos!  Bring it on!  She’s also a big foodie and an Elite Yelp member (which I found out actually means something:  she gets awesome perks!)  Perry on the other hand is more like me in the relationship: a bit quieter, a little more serious, thoughtful and he is searching for meaning in everything he does.  Just this past spring, he felt called to take 2 weeks of his vacation time to serve for a little bit in Africa.

And yet, these two don’t have nothing in common.  They are both hard workers and both put in long hard hours at the same financial company.  Not only that, they live just down the street from each other in Astoria! (Go Astoria!!!)  Suanne and Perry met at NYU (where they also met Alex) and wanted to capture their engagement session around the area so we hit Greenwich village and the West Village.   What a flashback to college days!  It was so fun walking around some of my favorite spots that I loved just enjoying like Washington Square Park and the surrounding areas, though I never knew I’d be back photographing an e-session there one day! Enjoy their engagement session and make sure you check back to see their wedding next August!!!
