Lovely details, a gorgeous setting, a fun family and most importantly an affectionate couple in-love makes for one happy wedding photographer and this wedding had it all.  Michael and Manuela got married in Spring at the Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Upstate New York surrounded by their closest friends and family.  You know you are talking about two special people when half of their guests are willing to travel from across the globe to be with them on their special day.  This intimate celebration was as personalized as a wedding could be.  Their close friend, a missionary/pastor in India officiated their wedding,  their parents sang and gave speeches, and their bridal party was composed of their siblings, nieces and nephews who delivered heartwarming speeches of love and support.  A continuous theme throughout the night was unconditional love.  The family’s sentiments all summed up to say, “Whatever you do, wherever you go, we will always support you,” which I’m sure were especially felt by Michael and Manuela,  given that they are making a big leap-of-faith move this summer to Michael’s home state of California.

Manuela looked radiant, a classic beauty, in her scalloped, silk trumpet gown with her side-swept hair and natural make up done by the talented and sweet Laura Burns.  Michael simply gushed when he saw her, from their tearful first look to the end of the night he couldn’t keep his eyes off his beautiful wife.   One glance at his face at any point of the day and it was clear he was thinking, “I’m the luckiest guy in the world.”  Michael and Manuela’s friends and family complimented Michael’s steadiness, calm and patience affirming that they knew just how blessed she was to have found him as well.

Like all their friends and family Alex and I feel blessed to have found friends in Michael and Manuela as well.  We were especially touched when they sent an invitation inviting Alex to be a guest at this intimate wedding of their closest friends and family.  I already gushed about how much I love this couple and shared the story of how these clients became friends when I posted their gorgeous magnolia blossom engagement session.  Alex and I  had an blast at this wedding photographing, meeting their friends and family and celebrating the love and the union of this amazing couple and  here is a photo to prove it (I know, it should be illegal to have this much fun for a living):
