Prospect Park Engagement Session | NYC Film Wedding Photographer
Spending the afternoon with these two will melt your heart even on the chilliest autumn day. Carly and Kevin contacted me in way back in July about booking their October engagement session in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. Kevin works in design and Carly is an art teacher. It’s always flattering and so much fun to work with other creatives! Though this artistic couple is getting married in Buffalo New York next year, they wanted an engagement session by an NYC film wedding photographer that could capture their daily life, which is played out primarily in Brooklyn, New York. Warm, friendly and appreciative from the moment I met them, I couldn’t have passed a more fun afternoon that taking pictures with these two and exploring this gorgeous park and it’s beautiful trees, waterfalls, tunnels, brides and boathouse.
Fun Fact: Prospect Park was designed by Fredrick Law Olmstead, the same designer of Central Park. (I know I’m a nerd for knowing this, but I did a report on him in High School). His vision was always to create a place of escape from the city and much like Central Park, Prospect Park was full of nooks and crannies that could have been in the deep woods of the Adirondacks! Don’t think you can have a pretty engagement session if it’s cloudy? Think again! Film worked it’s magic throughout this session and gorgeous Prospect Park in Brooklyn gave us beautiful landscapes to play with.
Thank you for a wonderful afternoon Carly and Kevin, and I hope you have a perfect wedding day!
