  • Meet Caroline

A few things you should know about me...I am passionate about creating wedding photos that are natural, romantic and timeless. My approach to portrait time is to create timeless imagery that captures you two and your unique love in an honest, but gorgeously composed way that looks almost candid. Not a model? No problem! I believe it's a photographer's job, not yours to help you look and feel comfortable in front of the camera! I work in both medium format film and some digital. Film because of its beautiful, soft, fine art qualities and perfect skin tones, and digital because of it's reliability in low light situations.

In my spare time I read, write poetry, music and mentor other women. Brunch is my favorite meal of the day and my drink of choice is a French 75.

But enough about me... I look forward to hearing more about you and your wedding plans!

The Worthley Family | NYC Children and Family Photographer

Meet the Worthley family.  A darling family from “Down Under” with a particular zest for life.   Not only are they incredibly fun and loving people from the grandfather down to their sweet little boy, “Jamesy,” but they also have what seems to be a genetic aptitude for science.  They entire family are doctors!  As a gift for her in-laws who were visiting from out of town,  Liza, glowing and pregnant with her next baby, hired me to capture photos of their son with his loving grandparents.   We settled on a morning shoot on one lovely morning in early fall on the upper west side of Manhattan in Riverside Park.

Kacey and Brendan’s Autumn in Central Park | NYC Engagement Photographer

Autumn in New York..most agree its the best time to be here.  Apple cider and pumpkins.  Not too hot, not too cold.  Colorful foliage galore, and a general fresh sense of the old is passed and the new is coming.  This is especially true for Kacey who is an English teacher.   But what is more for Kacey and Brendan, who works in Finance,  they are about to embark on their new adventure as a married couple in July, and I couldn’t be more thrilled for them.   I barely have to tell you how genuine their love for one another is because these images say it all… I hope you enjoy this little walk in Central Park with them and that you are inspired by the love that they share.

The Princess Kate resemblance is really strong in these next three images:

It was really hard to choose whether to show these in color or black and white….they were so gorgeous in both..

This image below was a close second for my favorite…So passionate and romantic and yet completely free and natural.  Scroll below to see “the winner.”

It was super hard to choose, but I think these one below is my favorites of the day…their passionate love is just so tangible.  I got a little misty eyed during this part of the shoot at how FREAKIN gorgeous and in love these two are.  Luckily this was the last frame!

Thanks for viewing. More to come soon!  Please “like” and comment below! Also check out their slideshow.

These pictures are amazing Caroline; you really did capture the romantic love story between these two. Your photography business is growing so quickly, you should be proud of yourself. I love the caption in the beginning, you are good writer:)

An NYIT de Severskey Mansion Wedding | NY Wedding Photographer

I was so privileged to shoot this Cinderella Wedding with Lauren Gabrielle.  With a to-die-for mansion (that might as well be a castle), the crystal chandeliers, the dramatic renaissance ballgown (which the groom Loc actually designed and made himself!), the cutest fairy-like flower girls, a beautiful princess with a heart of gold, and her handsome prince…I really don’t know how else to explain this perfect wedding except fairytale elegance!

Above is my favorite image above from Loc and Sabrina’s wedding… Are you pumped to see the rest of them now?  I hope so because,  I’m excited to show you!  I hadn’t blogged in two weeks and I’m having withdrawals…

I got this shot below completely by accident and it is one of my faves of the day.  Sabrina’s bridesmaids were all tending to her, and at the moment I tried to capture their mothering, Sabrina happened to look right up at my camera.

This is how it was most of the wedding…all the guests wanted to capture every moment of their gorgeous wedding

In addition to designing the wedding gown,  Loc, who works in fashion, designed the flower girls’ dresses.

Don’t these photos remind you of Pride and Prejudice and The Secret Garden? This location evoked a mood of English Countryside Romance

The ballroom was one of the prettiest I’d ever seen.

This one above is just plain sexy…Don’t they just emanate love and romance?

“The Prince stole Cinderella away from the crowds in order to profess his love to her…”  I love the ability of the wide angle lens to tell a story such as in the picture above.  It’s especially fitting in such a storybook wedding.

I had a great time working with Lauren and this adorable Bride and Groom, but after this wedding, I felt just like this kid…

Dan and Liliana at High Line Park | NYC Engagement Photographer

So excited to share Liliana and Dan’s playful engagement session with you!!  Remember my engagement photo contest last fall? These are my winners! Besides being a fun couple to work with, Liliana and Dan were so great to photograph because their love for each other was continuously bubbling over throughout the shoot.  They just couldn’t hide it!  You know what I say to that?  “AWESOME!”  Makes my job easy.

The High Line was a beautiful location to work at and really gave a mixture of the urban NYC feel and a soft natural beauty that highlighted their relationship that developed in the city.  But photographers beware, we got yelled at and threatened several times by High Line staff for venturing off the path and into the greenery,  but luckily in this long skinny park it’s unlikely you’ll see the same staff person twice.   We then moved down to the West Village for some playful shots of this football loving couple.  How cool does Liliana look playing football in heels?

It rained all day before the shoot, and we were worried that we’d have to cancel, but in a true love story fashion, the clouds parted just long enough for the hour and a half session and resumed raining as soon as we finished.   We still had to play with the umbrella for some of the shots though!  Special thanks to my hubby Alex who came a long for the shoot in case I needed an umbrella holder (isn’t he amazing, ladies?) but he ended up just holding all of our bags…what a guy!

Wonderful shots! I wish I knew these fun, joyful people. The photo of the ring in focus and the couple not in focus is seriously the most creative ring shot I’ve ever seen! The football ones are so adorable and the expression on the close-ups are priceless!

[…] and Blue Bell in Pennsylvania where I captured the wedding day of Dan and Liliana.  Remember the rainy day shoot on the high line – the couple with the football?  That was them!  They were one of my earliest engagement shoots […]
