  • Meet Caroline

A few things you should know about me...I am passionate about creating wedding photos that are natural, romantic and timeless. My approach to portrait time is to create timeless imagery that captures you two and your unique love in an honest, but gorgeously composed way that looks almost candid. Not a model? No problem! I believe it's a photographer's job, not yours to help you look and feel comfortable in front of the camera! I work in both medium format film and some digital. Film because of its beautiful, soft, fine art qualities and perfect skin tones, and digital because of it's reliability in low light situations.

In my spare time I read, write poetry, music and mentor other women. Brunch is my favorite meal of the day and my drink of choice is a French 75.

But enough about me... I look forward to hearing more about you and your wedding plans!

New York Public Library Engagement Photos | New York Wedding Photographer

When a couple as fun as Julie and Kevin want to do a second engagement session- you don’t say no.  Especially if they are willing to take out a special permit to have the NYPL all to ourselves for an hour!  Can any words be more exciting for any New York wedding photographer than “We get the New York public library to ourselves for an hour”?!!  If any of you couples out there are thinking about getting New York public library engagement photos, the permit might cost a bit, but it is so worth it for the kind of fun and unique photography opportunities the library offers!

What was really special about this engagement session, and the reason I focused on photographing it in a story-telling way, is Julie and Kevin first met in Law School working on a Law Review Journal together for which Kevin was the Business Editor.   He was in charge of partnering people for research and he partnered Julie with himself.   Adorable… They spent hours together in the library doing research together, and soon it was discovered that they affection was mutual.   Now these two lawyers are tying the knot in California in September and I couldn’t be more happy for them!

The Knot New York Magazine | Published

Mid-2012 I was writing out my business plan for 2013 to help me better understand where to put my time, money and energy based on what I wanted to achieve for Frost Photography.  In it I included a list of goals, some of which I was too embarrassed to utter aloud because they seemed (at the time) so lofty and far-fetched.  One of them was to have my images published in a large wedding magazine.  A few months later I got the email that Stephen and Bianca’s gorgeous wedding was being picked up by the The Knot for their 2013 New York Spring/Summer issue and I was beyond elated!   But nothing could prepare me for the joy of seeing my wedding images printed on three glossy beautiful pages laid out by the best of the best in editors.  Receiving it in the mail last night made my day!  I’m so excited and grateful to Bianca and Stephen for trusting me to capture their wedding, and to the amazing team of vendors that put together a GORGEOUS affair.   If you are in New York state go pick up a copy, they are on stands now!  Don’t worry Mom, I’ll send you one! ;-)

Brian + Alyssa Engagement | New York Engagement Photographer

A little lovliness to brighten this cloudy day.  In a little area of Central Park called “Wagner’s cove” only a few days before this shoot, Brian made Alyssa the happiest girl in the world when He asked her to marry him.  We revisited the spot where their history was written and recreated some romantic moments.  Alyssa and Brian had a cloudy day shoot, but their love just warms up every image!  Enjoy!
