  • Meet Caroline

A few things you should know about me...I am passionate about creating wedding photos that are natural, romantic and timeless. My approach to portrait time is to create timeless imagery that captures you two and your unique love in an honest, but gorgeously composed way that looks almost candid. Not a model? No problem! I believe it's a photographer's job, not yours to help you look and feel comfortable in front of the camera! I work in both medium format film and some digital. Film because of its beautiful, soft, fine art qualities and perfect skin tones, and digital because of it's reliability in low light situations.

In my spare time I read, write poetry, music and mentor other women. Brunch is my favorite meal of the day and my drink of choice is a French 75.

But enough about me... I look forward to hearing more about you and your wedding plans!

Lou and Amanda | Central Park Engagement Photographer

Amanda and Lou are the kind of couple I love to meet as part of my job:  fun, easy-going, and so in love!  It was so natural posing these two who seemed more at home in eachother’s arms than out of them.  And no wonder these two are high school sweet hearts and have been together for 10 years!  That’s longer than I’ve even known my husband!  They came into the city for the day from Long Island where they will be getting married next Spring.   We had a fantastic time wandering around Shakespeare’s garden and The Ramble, two of my favorite spots in central park, which Lou picked unknowingly.  Great minds think alike Lou!  Enjoy this little piece of their love story…

Amanda and Lou,  you are both way too cute!!!!!!

I’m not positive, but I’m pretty sure this image sums up their relationship:

As the sun went down behind the San Remo (often mistaken for the Dakota) we had the perfect light for some moody black and whites…I’m dying over this intimate images…

Grasmere Farms Wedding | New York Wedding Photographer

Some wedding days just melt your heart away and this was one of those.  This one not only melted my heart, but also face as it was about 100 degrees and humid as can be at this upstate New York barn wedding.  I barely even noticed the heat however or my melting face as I was completely entranced by the love of this sweet couple, who I got to know a little bit over the past year.  From their engagement shoot when I got to meet their sweet special needs rescue dogs that they are completely devoted to and throughout the process until the wedding day, Matt and Vivi made me feel like more like a part of the bridal party rather than just a vendor, and its couples like them that make me LOVE MY JOB.   Their wedding day was pure gorgeousness mixed with so much sweet emotion- Vivi poured her heart into every little detail from pretty paper fans to amazing music and pulled off a beautiful and unique day that I’m sure their guests will not quickly forget.  So honored to have been a part of their day.  Thank you to Jainé and Julieanne for all their help in capturing  the day.

Love these glances they gave each other during the ceremony.  So much love.
What a good looking bridal party…

I love the shots of the reception! I felt like I was there. You have a unique eye to recognize the preciousness of the moment that is really so simple in life, but so rarely acknowledged. I love that! Thank you!

Andrew and Amanda | New York Engagement Photographer

If you want a lesson in first impressions, ask Andrew.  Amanda says Andrew was the best first date she ever had – little did she know it would be her last first date.  Or maybe she did know. After all,  the signs were there.  I’m told that their evening ended at midnight on Christmas Eve with kiss in the snow with caroler’s singing.  Sounds like a sign to me!  This couple is so pleasant be around because they seem to truly enjoy each other’s company and bring out the best in each other.  Amanda just sparkles under Andrew’s adoring gaze.

Andrew and Amanda met at work.  Really, where else could you meet in this city really when you work in corporate law and finance?  Though they are getting married at the Waveny House in Connecticut at the end of the summer  (can’t wait!) , their love had to be celebrated with some engagement photos in NYC where it all began.

Boris and Rei’s City Hall Wedding | New York Wedding Photographer

Who after their wedding day doesn’t think, “Let’s do that again!”?  I know it was the first thing my new husband Alex and I said to each other when we got whisked away in our limo after the reception almost three years ago.  Well, this sweet couple, Rei and Borris got to celebrate their wedding on three different occasions.   First they had a city hall ceremony with friends in traditional Japanese Kimono’s to honor the bride’s heritage, second they celebrated at a reception dinner in traditional western wedding clothes which they then re-wore for a church ceremony and reception in Berlin so that the Groom’s German family and Rei’s relatives still living in Japan could join them.   It was truly the never ending celebration!  These two animal lovers wanted photos at their place with their adorable pets as well as around their Fort Washington neighborhood including on the tennis court where they first met.  Ah L’Amore….It was a rainy day which was truly a blessing in disguise as this park would normally be crawling with locals on a Memorial Day weekend.  Thanks to Julieanne for her help that day!

Wishing you a lifetime of happiness together Boris and Rei.
