Happy New Year to my clients and readers! This ballet inspired wedding shoot photographed at the Chelsea Mansion was one of my favorite shoots of the year. Partially because of how entertaining it is to play with pointe shoes, ribbon and tulle and partially because of the fun and talented people I got to work with. The wonderful ladies of Cheeky Details came up with the vision for this gorgeous ballet wedding shoot, and I was so thrilled when they asked me to capture every detail. Watercolors, ruffles, ribbons, and tulle with lots of blush pink and pops of crimson looked especially gorgeous on film and by the end of the day I had shot close to thirty rolls. These images were featured on Style Me Pretty on Christmas Eve, who thought a subtle nod to the Nutcracker would make for the perfect holiday wedding. (I quite agree). Our models were actually a real couple (who has yet to get engaged) so I lent our lovely model my engagement ring. The twisted band, resembling the ribbons of her pointe shoes, was the perfect finishing touch!
